CASA ALICIA
MALNUTRITION REHABILITATION CENTER
It all started when we met oliver…
While visiting a nearby village, we met 7 year old who weighed less than 20 pounds... At the time we had no real help to offer him. We were only able to spend a small amount of time getting to know him and his family before, he and some of his siblings passed away from the effects of starvation.
That day, we decided that we had to do something. We could not let the children of this region die like that. Intervention was urgent.
This center will house chronically malnourished children and their families on the Land of Hope. We believe that holistic care is the best approach to healing - Mind, body and soul. A long-term care facility, Casa Alicia, will give these children access to specialists such as nutritionists, physical therapists, doctors and nurses as needed per their recovery plans. Families will have access to education - how to care for their families - how to treat malnutrition.
as families enter the Land of Hope, we will let our supporters know so that we can sponsor each family and take care of their physical needs during the child’s recovery.
